Two sensibilities seem to have merged in a unique alliance: Hanafi's abstract art and Goenawan Mohamad's biomorphism.

The unfinished human figure, its face obscured by backlighting, covers nearly the entire canvas. The 150X200-centimeter painting is dominated by earth browns and black painted in bold acrylic sweeps, with sharp strokes etched into the background to form a head with two horns.
