Indonesia To Push For Timor-leste Membership In Asean

MINISTER of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi will attend the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Ministerial Meeting from August 3-6, in Kuala Lumpur. At the meeting, she will propose granting Timor-Leste membership in the regional bloc.

"It is time for ASEAN to consider the membership of Timor-Leste," Derry Aman, director for dialogue partners and inter-regional cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, announced on July 30 in Jakar
