A Renewed Effort for Palestine

The decades-long conflict between Israel and Palestine continues to simmer. The war has taken a toll on the people in the area. More than 4.6 million of Palestinians are refugees who live in camps on the Gaza strip or in neighboring countries, such as Syria, Lebanon and Jordan.

Indonesia took a step forward to resolve the conflict by hosting the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC)'s Fifth Extraordinary Summit on Palestine and Al-Quds Al-Sharif in Jakarta on March 6-7.
