2001 Economy: More of the Same

The Indonesian economy is growing again. In the third quarter of 2000 the growth rate was more than 5 percent and it is expected that it will remain about the same for the whole of 2001, or possibly even higher. At present, people are already talking about the beginning of economic recovery. This may be just a temporary consensus of all parties, but the projection shows that no change is expected.
