LATELY I have been asking myself the question of how much imported food arrives in Indonesia from countries of origin with poor public hygiene surveillance and other low standards of food quality. This has in part been prompted by the surge in the volume of fruit from mainland China, which, being labeled in Mandarin script, is rather easy to pick out.
