Indonesia's Hour Now at Hand

The plight of Afghanistan's women—inflicted in the name of Islam by the Taleban—should alert Muslim women leaders to the need to be in the forefront of this important issue. It is a cause that goes to the very core of Islam: the rights of women. It also resonates with political constituencies since by electing women leaders Muslim electorates across several countries have accepted the egalitarian message of
