Wearing a red, long-sleeved batik shirt that morning, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono looked very fresh. He stood straight, chest out. At the sixth floor suite of the Regent Hotel in Jakarta, he sat on one of the chairs reserved for meetings. In the lounge, a pile of newspapers were especially folded so that the presidential candidate could read them easily. His aides came in and out of the suit arranging things.
