Far-reaching KPU Kickbacks

THE reporters in the lobby of the office of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) last Wednesday stood up, even those who had fallen asleep. The man they had been waiting for, Hamdani Amin, head of the Financial Bureau of the General Elections Commission (KPU), was heard coming down the stairs.
He looked exhausted after being questioned for over 10 hours. Greetings from the reporters went unanswered. He couldn't even muster a smile.
