This middle-aged vendor at Barito bird market in South Jakarta said she is having a difficult time selling her caged birds, following the bird flu outbreak. Before the outbreak she was able to sell at least seven birds a day, but now she is happy if she can sell two a week. Its very hard these days, she said.
