THE chaos erupted precisely at noon. Only 10 or 20 yards from the house of Vice President Jusuf Kalla on Jl. Haji Bau No. 16 in the city of Makassar. Flames burst forth from old tires. Fortunately, alert security personnel extinguished the fires before smoke could totally obscure the area. Who knows who started it but a stone fight between students and police then erupted.
