THERE were no guards at the security post at the gate of the Satya Wacana Christian University (UKSW) housing complex. It was still daylight, but the place felt deserted. On Thursday afternoon last week, only one or two youths were hanging around the front of the complex, located at Jalan Kartini 11-A in Salatiga, Central Java.
