SINCE early 2007, the police have been investigating an illegal logging case, believed to involve two major companies processing wood pulp and paper, namely Riau Andalan and Indah Kiat. These two companies alone account for more than 60 percent of Indonesia’s wood pulp industry, bringing in billions of dollars in foreign reserves.
