MAK Ikah, 58, started wailing when she saw copies of her Qur’an burnt by the raging flames. A member of the Ahmadiyah sect, Mak Ikah quickly went to Mimi Sumiati, 46, a fellow Ahmadiyah neighbor. The two hugged, crying uncontrollably. “They burnt the Qur’ans... they burnt the Qur’ans...” was all that was heard amid their sobbing.
