THERE is a 1-meter-wide entry gate at the end of an alleyway which leads to a nondescript meeting hall in the densely populated neighborhood of Petamburan, Tanah Abang, in Central Jakarta. Its 10 x 7-meter area is also used as a prayer hall. There are copies of the Qur’an piled neatly by the wall.
