THE reminder had been made long in advance. One and a half years ago, the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) made repeated reminders that financial compensation for the victims of the Lapindo mudflow disaster in Sidoarjo quickly be taken care of. If not, the losses could mount to Rp32.9 trillion in 2015. This is due to the increase in direct economic losses—in the form of lost assets and income—which have increased 14-fold from Rp1.4 trillion in 2006
