HELD numerous times since 1955, Indonesia’s general election is synonymous with perforating ballots. This tradition will change in the upcoming election on 9 April, when votes will be indicated on the ballot by making check marks. As a result, according some voting simulations that were conducted, the number of improperly cast votes will be very high, maybe reaching even the highest level in the world.
