Several parties in Yudhoyono’s coalition were disappointed that none of their members were chosen to be his running mate. Lobbying continued up until the last minutes before the announcement.

STANDING in front of the whiteboard, Justice & Prosperity Party (PKS) faction Chairman Mahfudz Siddiq wrote the names of the four parties in the coalition with the Democrat Party.
