THE cocoa fruit looks ready to be harvested. It is ripe. It is oval shaped and slightly red. The santri (students of Islam) skillfully open the pods and gather the seeds to be dried. They are very satisfied. All their hard work has borne fruit and the results are not bad. Every month they manage to harvest 1 ton of cocoa fruit, the raw material to produce chocolate.
