ARMED with machetes and spears, 20 residents of Bayu village in Greater Aceh, cut through the woods around their village. Together with the police, they combed the dense foliage near Kemukiman Lamkabeu, which is where a shootout occurred between Detachment 88 forces and an armed group two weeks ago. “We were asked to volunteer,” said Bukhari, a resident of Bayu village, “We are hunting for boars at the same time.”
