ALL last week an internal audit team at Bank Indonesia was in great difficulty. As office workers in Jakarta got ready for a three-day weekend, the team busied itself with a suspected bribery case which was seen as a slap in the face for the central bank. They had to go through all the documents connected to a bribery charge in the procurement of printing Rp100,000 bills.
