GAYUS Halomoan Tambunan has dragged three Bakrie companies out into the open. According to this grade IIIa tax directorate employee and a suspect in a corruption and money-laundering case, Bumi Resources, Kaltim Prima Coal and Arutmin Indonesia spent US$7 million to resolve their tax problems. Part of that amount—US$3 million—went to Gayus’s pockets.
