A major reshuffle of the National Police’s top positions involved over 500 high-ranking officers. Apparently, the move was not transparent and benefited those close to the Police Chief.

NINE police generals stood at attention, staring straight ahead. The command baton was held firmly under the left arm. All of the paraphernalia of police grandeur, signs of rank, and rows of award insignia were pinned on their brown uniforms. On Thursday morning last week, in the main meeting room of National Police Headquarters, these nine top cops had just been appointed as regional police chiefs.
