AT 1,500 meters above sea level, Legok Sari village, Tlogomulyo district in Temanggung, Central Java, is not your typical vision of a mountainside village. Inhabited by 1,625 residents, this village is a center for tobacco growers in Temanggung regency. “Of the thousands of village residents, only one does not plant tobacco,” Legok Sari village head, Subakir, told Tempo, on a visit to the village on Friday last week.
