THE text message was sent simultaneously to the cellular telephones of members of the House of Representatives (DPR) from the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P). Sent by secretary-general Tjahjo Kumolo, on Thursday two weeks ago, the message was delivered through the special SMS Center belonging to the party. The message was a serious one: from that day on, PDI-P legislators were forbidden to leave Jakarta.
