ALTHOUGH it is still only the beginning of the year, the business of importing beef has already become quite chaotic. Import quotas for the first half of the year are only 25,000 tons, but twice that amount has already arrived here. As a result, the meat is being detained at the Agriculture Ministry’s Quarantine Board as well as at the Customs and Excise Office inside the Tanjung Priok Port area.
