THE funds were distributed almost seven years ago. Anton Lesiangi, a senior politician from the Golkar Party, still remembers the stacks of Rp50,000 bills in his hotel room at the location of the Golkar Party National Convention, held at the Hotel Westin in Nusa Dua, Bali. “The money was neatly stuffed into brown envelopes,” he told Tempo, on Tuesday last week.
