Panji Gumilang and the Al-Zaytun Islamic Boarding School are the latest part of a dream to establish a nation based on Islamic law. While the story goes as far back as Kartosoewirjo, the dream has been mixed with current political and economic interests. Intelligence agents have helped to determine the successes and failures of this group of activists.
