Nazaruddin is suspected of funneling company funds to top Democrat Party officials. They were allegedly distributed right before the party’s congress in Bandung. Among the recipients were reported to be Anas, Ibas and Andi Mallarangeng.

FROM his hideout, M. Nazaruddin opened up his financial records. This former Democrat Party treasurer said that he spent US$20 million on the party congress held in Bandung in May last year. “US$5 million dollars in cash came from my office,” said this 32-year-old politician, currently indicted in the embezzlement case involving the 26th SEA Games athlete accommodations project.
