There was no reduced punishment for Meurah Pupok. Even though he was the son of the ruler of the Samudera Pasai Kingdom, the Sultan Iskandar Muda, Meurah did not escape execution. Under sharia, he was stoned to death in 1636 after he was proven to have had relations with a soldier's wife.
