On the morning of September 15, 1912, Ernest Franois Eugne Dekker arrived at the Bandung railway station. Accompanied by J.D. Brunsveld van Hulten dan J. van der Poel, he embarked on a series of visits to towns in Java. The first place he called on was Yogyakarta. The purpose of the tour was to speak publicly and disseminate information on the Indische Partij, a political party he had established a week before.
