THE OLD SONG is being replayed after last week's capture by the police of the fugitive Tommy Suharto—that Abdurrahman Wahid, while president of the republic, made a political deal with the youngest son of the disgraced dictator Suharto. Tommy, detained in a cell at the Jakarta police headquarters, said he decided to go into hiding after Wahid broke his promise.
