THE headquarters of retired military generals used to be in Wisma Bakrie II in Kuningan, South Jakarta, at the office of Toba Sejahtra company. These days, however, they meet at a house in Menteng, Central Jakarta. Both places belong to Gen. (ret.) Luhut Binsar Panjaitan, the former commander of the Army Education and Training Center, his last posting before retirement.
Most of them graduated from the Military Academy's Class of 1970, along with Luhut. Subagyo Hadisiswoyo and Fachrul Razi were four-star generals, while Sumardi was a lieutenant-general. Some of their juniors are there as well, like Lt. Gen. (ret.) Suaidi Marasabessy.
