Helpful Harahap

LOCATED about 100 meters from the office of the Entikong District Police in Sanggau Regency, West Kalimantan, stands an off-white two-storey house. The house looks like it was recently painted, making it stand out from a distance. To the left side is a garage made of wood with an asbestos sheeting roof. Parked inside are a Toyota Kijang Innova and Honda CR-V. This is the home of Chief Brigadier Martalela Pandapotan Harahap, a police officer who works at the Entikong police precinct.

Harahap, 37-along with Idha Endri Prastiono-have been big news these past two weeks, not because they made a big arrest, but because they themselves were arrested by the Royal Malaysian police. The two are suspected of being part of an international narcotics distribution network.
