HEAVY-DUTY equipment and aircraft landing and taking off are common scenes at the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang district. Two weeks ago, hundreds of workers were busily engaged in a half-completed construction work. "We have progressed by about 60 percent," said Salahudin Rafi, Director of Airport and Technology Development of the Angkasa Pura II airports authority.
He made certain that the development of Terminal 3 at the largest airport in the country was going on as scheduled. If everything goes according to plan, this project will be ready at the same time as the new government of Joko Widodo and Jusuf Kalla's administration is launched. "It will be operational by August next year," said Rafi.
