Romlah, now 93, was one of the liaison officers in charge of accompanying the spouses, wives and children of delegation members. Apart from escorting Indira Gandhi, Romlah attended to the wives of other delegates, like Norodom Buppha Devi, a daughter of Cambodian King Norodom Sihanouk, who was then only 11.
