THE EFFORT to criminalize the leaders of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) can be heard in a series of telephone conversations of a person believed to be Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) Secretary-General Hasto Kristiyanto. In a transcript said to be the result of a KPK electronic surveillance-although the KPK leaders denied doing so-he seems to be actively arranging efforts to ensnare two KPK leaders, namely Abraham Samad and Bambang Widjojanto.
