General Badrodin Haiti was not in a conciliatory mood to be answering pointed questions when he met Tempo last week at his headquarters. "Am I lobbying to get my job extended?" he asked, repeating the question posed to him.
Before any reply was given, however, Badrodin set out to answer his own question. "I met Pak Wiranto (Hanura Party chairman) at the governor's inauguration, then I met Pak Setya Novanto (Golkar Party chairman) because we were both going to meet the President," Badrodin said defensively.
