IN the last three years, the monthly income of Anna Medika Hospital in Bekasi has tripled. This C- class hospital was even able to purchase additional dialysis machines, increasing the number from eight to 43. All this occurred after the hospital began participating in the National Health Insurance program (JKN) managed by the Social Security Agency (BPJS).

"In the past, we earned just under Rp3 billion a month. Now our income is almost Rp10 billion," Anna Medika Hospital CEO, Slamet Effendy told Tempo last week.
