AFTER just two months working at Asuransi Jiwa Bersama Bumiputera 1912, Adhie M. Massardie has to go to court. The company's Statutory Manager for Human Resources, General Affairs and Communication, he was beginning to prepare the material for an appeal last week. The cause: Bumiputera lost a lawsuit filed by Soeseno Haryo Saputro, its former chief executive officer.

Soeseno's suit was quite unique. "He questioned his commission for bringing in new customers, which Bumiputera had yet to pay him," Adhie explained when we met in his office last week. He said he plans to appeal because he believes the company has no written regulations requiring it to pay commissions.
