Bickering over Beef Imports, Again

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) arrested Constitutional Court judge Patrialis Akbar on Wednesday last week. The former justice and human rights minister is suspected of accepting a US$20,000 bribe from a businessman in the beef importation business. This bribe money was allegedly to secure a favorable decision on an appeal for a judicial review of Law No. 41/ 2014 on Livestock and Animal Health.
