The Indonesian government and Freeport Indonesia are still negotiating the profit-sharing arrangement for the mine near the summit of the Carstensz Pyramid (Puncak Jaya) in Papua. At stake are more than 32,000 full-time jobs and contractor positions, along with geological wealth worth US$105.6 billion (Rp1,425.6 trillion).
