BLBI Settlements

BLBI loans were converted into government stocks at nearly 200 banks. These banks hold debts in the companies of former bank owners (debtors). President B.J. Habibie made three debt repayment arrangements for debtors. President Megawati Sukarnoputri then issued Presidential Instruction No.8/2002, which became an umbrella for issuing certificates of debt repayment (SKL) for cooperative debtors.
