It was 4pm on Sunday two weeks ago. On the premises of the Al Umm Pesantren (Islamic boarding school) in Tangerang, Banten, dozens of men and women were sitting on the ground, chanting the selawat prayers together, calling for God's blessing on Prophet Muhammad. All dressed in white robes with their faces reflecting the depth of their devotion, they offered prayers and praises for the Prophet: peace and blessings be upon him.
