ARIF Hidayat, 24, is thankful for the new Medan-Binjai toll road. Before, the businessman from Binjai would have to travel 20 kilometers on the regular highway to Medan. The toll road inaugurated by President Joko Widodo on October 13 has reduced the travel by five to seven kilometers in exchange for a toll fee of Rp10,500. "The reduced travel distance is not bad," said Arif, when interviewed at the Binjai toll road entrance last week.
