AT last, State-Owned Enterprises Minister Rini Soemarno made an important announcement early last month on the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Rail (HSR): the China Development Bank (CDB) is ready to disburse Rp6-13 trillion for the project this month.

CDB concluded that Kereta Cepat Indonesia China, a consortium of four Indonesian and four Chinese state-owned companies, has met requirements for the loan, one of which being acquisition of 53 percent
