The Berkarya Party has qualified to participate in next year’s general election. Relying on the Suharto name, the party plans to house the late former president’s more politically inclined family members. It also embraces religious leaders and retired military officers.

HUTOMO Mandala Putra, better known as Tommy Suharto, is grateful that the Berkarya Party was given number seven on the 2019 general election ballot. For Tommy, the number is a sign that his party will likely do well.
