The contents of the guest book at the Al Mukmin pesantren or Islamic boarding school, better known perhaps as the Ngruki pesantren, are long and varied these days. Normally the visitors are restricted to the near relatives of the students and other faithful who live and study there. But during the last week, they have more frequently been journalists, including some from the foreign media.
