How many schools, colleges, hospitals and railway carriages could be made available if business tycoons had not siphoned off trillions of rupiah of their debts to banks in Indonesia? It isn’t hard to answer. Just to be able to grasp the magnitude of these bad debts, let’s try to estimate what benefit can be obtained if these funds are channeled in the interest of the people.
