A push for halal-certified Covid vaccines began early this year. It could create opportunities for the use of particular brands of vaccines.
DESPITE not yet being officially established, the Indonesian Muslim Consumers Foundation (YKMI) has taken action to push for halal (conforming to Islamic law) vaccines. On January 18 and 19, it held a focus group discussion about halal Covid-19 vaccines for the Muslim community at Sofyan Hotel Soepomo in Tebet, South Jakarta.
