THE Kanjuruhan tragedy on October 1, reminds us of the pitch invasion by soccer supporters when Manchester City became the champion of the English Premier League on May 13, 2012. At the time, City supporters who had been waiting 44 years for the trophy ran onto the pitch when Sergio Aguero concluded the match against Queens Park Rangers at the Etihad Stadium by upping the score to 3-2 in the last minute.
